Tiny Bubbles

Last week, I only posted three days due to a mystery illness.  Well I really should have spent that day in bed actually sleeping and not powering through six hours of Masterpiece television.  Because this week (and weekend), I saw Contagion.  But it wasn’t the movie, it was me.  And frankly, it was just as painful to watch.

At one point during an excursion out, I actually had my husband leave me in the back seat of a car on a crowded city street so I could get some sleep.  About six fire trucks – with FIREMEN! – drove by while I was there and I could have cared less.  You know you are sick when you don’t sit up and ogle some firemen.

Anyhow, the rest of my time absent from blogging was spent hovered over glass after glass of Alka-Seltzer.  Today I finally cut myself off from it and felt immediately better… and then slowly worse.  But I will power on with blogging until the day I leave for Spain.  Then I am tossing you fools aside for the good life.  Can you blame me?

Given my exposure to the bubbles, I couldn’t help but be influenced them.  Here are a few bubbly selections… which I will promptly toss aside for the real bubbly as soon as I can actually breathe through my nose.  Cheers!

Since giving up Diet Coke for lent, the only tiny bubbles I want to see are in a tall glass of DC. Or the fan club song for West Ham Football Club.

You were always a bit of a hooligan, although your fashion would not go over well. Although if you were hanging with the Glazers or Bruce Buck (Colgate class of 67 and Chairman of Chelsea Football Club).
